Terms of Service
Spruce Lawn Care
Fees & Taxes: Sales tax is added to every transaction upon completion. If your lawn is overgrown on the first mow, an additional charge of $1.41 per minute per man may be applied. For landscaping projects over $1,000, 50% is due upfront and 50% upon completion.
Payments & Late Fees: Your card on file is charged after each service. If payment fails, please update your card or contact us within 15 days to avoid a $25 late fee.
Dog Waste: Please pick up dog waste before we arrive. A few droppings are fine. If large amounts are present more than once, a $25 inconvenience fee may apply.
Locked Gates / Access Issues: If we can't access part of your yard due to a locked gate, a dog in the yard, or blocked access and we can't reach you, full price will still be charged. Please provide your gate code or leave your key lock unlocked on service days.
Skipping a Visit: To skip a visit, notify us by 5:00 p.m. the business day before. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Skipped visits may result in taller grass at your next service, and an overgrowth charge may apply.
Lawn Mowing:
Each mow includes push mowing, string trimming, edging, and blowing off hard surfaces. Clippings are mulched back into the lawn, bagging is not included.
We don't pull weeds in flower beds, pick up toys, dog waste, or trash as part of the mowing service. Please have the yard ready before we arrive. If the yard is consistently messy, pricing may be adjusted to reflect the extra time required.
While we aim to service your lawn on your scheduled day, weather, holidays, or scheduling needs may occasionally shift service a day earlier or later.
Mowing Schedule:
- April–October: Weekly (required)
- November–March: Bi-weekly / Winter Maintenance
Your service automatically switches to weekly on April 1st and to bi-weekly in mid-November.
Winter Maintenance (Dec–Feb):
We switch your mowing to bi-weekly winter maintenance automatically. Same price as mowing. Same time on property. More value. We do things like weed pulling, shrub & tree trimming, leaf & branch cleanup, ice melt, exterior property inspections with photos uploaded to client portal, scalping to prep for spring, and occasional mowing.
Winter maintenance saves you money on big fall and spring cleanups and keeps your property looking great all winter.
Fertilizer & Weed Control:
8 treatments per year, applied throughout the season with the right products at the right time including pre-emergent, post-emergent, fertilizer, and winterizer depending on the time of year.
After each treatment:
- Stay off the lawn until it's fully dry
- Water within 48 hours for best results (avoid watering if temps are below 32°F)
What to expect: Results take time. You may still see new weeds appear in the weeks following a treatment, this is normal and part of the process. Expect visible improvement after 3-4 treatments. Full lawn transformations can take 6–12 months depending on your lawn's current condition. Think of it like going to the gym, consistency is what gets results.
If you don't see any weeds dying, yellowing, or wilting within 2 weeks of a treatment, contact us and we'll come back out to re-spray at no charge.
The Spruce Promise: If something isn't right, let us know. We'll come fix it at no extra cost. If we can't make it right, you won't be charged for that service.
Cancellation: No commitments, service continues automatically each year until you cancel. To cancel, call our office at 469-649-8953.
SMS Communication Consent: By contacting us or submitting your information, you consent to receive text messages from our team regarding your services, appointments, updates, and promotional offers. Message frequency may vary. Standard rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.
